Honeybee or a Wasp?

May 13, 2022 by Andre Coetzee Leave a Comment

Bee removal Houston is extremely necessary for the proper removal of bees so that
they remain unharmed. However, it is necessary for you to be aware if you are truly in need of
bee removal or if you have come upon a hive of wasps. Wasps are gnarly little creatures that
are often mistaken for sweet honeybees. Before assuming you have a hive of bees on your
hands, try and be sure you are identifying them correctly. Honeybees provide a world of
benefits to our society, so you want to make sure you take bee removal Houston seriously. If it
turns out that you have a hive of wasps on your hands, they provide no benefit to society and
strictly offer harm. It is obviously less important to take care when removing wasp nets.
Bees help to pollinate flowers and in doing so improve the environment. They also make
honey within their hives that humans benefit from. Bees will notify you that they are nearby by
buzzing loudly. They are reluctant to sting and do not mean harm. They can only sting one time
and then they will die. Bees do not mean harm and buzz to try and prevent harm to you and
themselves.
You can easily tell the difference between the body of a bee and the body of a wasp.
Wasps have a longer more slender body type that is aerodynamic and built for “hunting.”
Wasps eat other insects, so their aerodynamic body style is necessary for their survival.
Honeybees have a bit of a thicker middle body as they do not lead a hunting lifestyle. We are
always here to help support the proper removal of bees, please give us a call with any questions
that you may have.
